With Support From

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to the second production of the Central Florida Community Arts Youth Theatre Program’s 2025-2026 season, and the first of two Troupe productions this season! We’re so glad you’re able to join us for our Youth Theatre Troupe’s (and Children’s Chorus!) production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

For those who may be experiencing CFCArts’ Youth Theatre Program for the first time, please note: This is no ordinary youth theatre production. CFCArts is proud to provide an artistic home for hundreds of young performers each year of all ages and abilities, and our Youth Theatre Troupe represents the most advanced level of performance we offer. The 39 Troupe performers and 21 Children’s Chorus performers onstage – our largest Youth Theatre Troupe cast ever, with or without the Chorus accounted for! – worked incredibly hard to earn their place in this ambitious production.

And wow, has this cast embraced the “larger than life” aspects of this incredibly unique show. They’ve come to rehearsals with creative ideas, infectious laughter, and of course, boundless energy. Is corralling 60 young performers – or even a portion of that – a challenge at times? Well, of course. But when the house lights dim and our actors begin to tell this timeless story, you’ll see why we do it. They’ll make you laugh, they’ll make you cry, they’ll make you cry from laughing. And you might even get a beach ball to the head. Who knows? That’s the fun of it.

I feel like I say this every show, but it bears repeating every time: Although I’m proud of the kids in this show and all of their hard work, I am even more proud of the way they care for each other. Our mission statement here at CFCArts is to serve and build community through the arts, and they’re living that mission every day. Whether they’re putting in the manual labor with our community partners like Second Harvest Food Bank packing meals for Central Floridians in need or lifting each other up in rehearsal, I’m endlessly proud of the family they’ve made.

And now, we welcome you, our audience, to our family here at CFCArts. Enjoy the show!

With love,

Leah Porrata
