Hello and Welcome to Celebrate the Season!

The holidays have always been a pretty big deal around here, and this year, the Central Community Arts holiday spectacular is bigger than ever. This evening, almost 400 performers take to the stage to share their heart, their talent, their boundless joy, and this remarkable community with you.

It’s highly likely that almost all the music performed tonight will be familiar to you – it is the most wonderful time of the year, after all! But what may be unfamiliar to you is the scale, the sheer power, and the startling enthusiasm and commitment of the largest Symphony Orchestra in the nation.

This group really is remarkable. Beyond their exquisite musicianship, the way they care for each other and use their time and their talents to make Central Florida a more welcoming, vibrant, creative, and inclusive place to live is just amazing. Spending time with them each week in rehearsal is a true joy, and I know that tonight you will experience firsthand why so many of us love calling this region home.

Performances like tonight’s – big gatherings where we can celebrate our community and dazzle our audience – aren’t possible without a lot of incredible partners. The full list of people who helped bring this concert to life is too long to list here in full. A special shout out is needed however, for: the entire team here at Northland – Lauren and Steve and their respective teams who demonstrate such warm hospitality and technical expertise; the leadership team at Calvary Orlando who have hosted us weekly for rehearsals and welcomed hundreds of our members onto their campus; and the incredibly talented members of the CFCArts Community Choir who added extra rehearsals and several more nights out to their calendars so that we could add a little extra holiday magic to this concert.
