Hello and Welcome!
We are so incredibly glad that you have chosen to join us today! As the summer weeks come to an end, we realize there are many of you who could be in other places, but you have chosen to spend some time with us, and for that we are extremely humbled. We are grateful to have the opportunity to connect with our community and grateful that you are here to support live music and, through it, our fantastic members here at Central Florida Community Arts.
The incredible group of people you get to experience during this concert is like no group either of us have ever known. Taking to the stage during this concert are about 150 musicians and singers performing with more joy, talent, and power than you can imagine. This incredible ensemble is made up of people just like you—friends and neighbors from across Central Florida who gather once a week “In the Mood” to make music, have fun, and make this a better place to call home.
Over the years, our Community Choir and Symphony Orchestra have joined forces many times, but And All That Jazz is the first time the choir and Big Band have presented a joint performance. With our mission to create community through the arts, these two ensembles – each stunning on their own – are “At Last” breaking the mold and co-constructing something magnificent together.
The sense of community stretches beyond the stage, though. It is our goal to create an “Unforgettable” experience where the energy of music and the talent and passion of these two CFCArts ensembles truly shine. It’s our chance to give performers and audience members alike a chance to escape life for a couple of hours and “Sway” to some good, classic jazz. This upcoming concert promises to be a spectacular fusion of voices and instruments, offering a rich, immersive experience for all who attend.
Please sit back and enjoy your time with us on a “Wonderful Day Like Today,” as we know we’ll enjoy sharing this space with you. We have many more chances for you to connect, laugh, relax, and grow with us! Visit CFCArts.com to learn more about the work we are doing in our Central Florida community and to get your tickets for many of our thrilling upcoming performances. (And if you find yourself listening and dancing to tonight’s music and wanting to be a part of the magic, it just so happens that fall Community Choir starts Monday! Registration is open now, so we ask “Won’t You Be [Our] Neighbor”?
While the music and the quality of the performance are incredibly important to us (we do want you to have a great time, after all!), the single most important aspect of this concert is the echoing chords and unforgettable connection of creating a sense of community with so many musicians—so many wonderful people—from right here in Central Florida. Thank you for being a part of this experience with us!
