Students in Grades K through 12 this school year: Join us for our Troupe Fall 2025 Musical: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! This show will have a K-5 Children’s Chorus as well as a pre-professional advanced Troupe main cast for Grades 3-12 – both auditioned!
“Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!”
One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.
Students must audition for this pre-professional advanced theatre group. There are 2 ways to participate, both requiring an audition:
- Children’s Chorus – Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade may audition for the Children’s Chorus! This group of talented young singers will be featured in Act 1 of our production, helping tell the story through song. These students have limited rehearsals and will be released at intermission! Auditions for the Children’s Chorus are virtual; please see below for information. (Students in 3rd through 5th Grade may audition in person for the Troupe and Children’s Chorus, if preferred.)
- Troupe – Students in 3rd through 12th Grade, playing Supporting and Lead roles (Character descriptions and the script will be provided in advance.) This group of advanced, pre-professional young performers will be featured in the entire show in acting, singing, and dancing roles with rehearsals throughout the week as called. In-person auditions are required; please see below for information.

Service Project
Central Florida Community Arts exists to serve and build community through the arts. With our mission in mind, our Youth Theatre Program students for each production have the opportunity to participate in a service project to benefit another non-profit organization in Central Florida - and to build friendships and bond with their castmates! These service projects are carefully selected to align with the message of the story that our students are telling on stage.
For this production, representatives from our cast will be working with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Like Joseph’s family, many in our own community experience severe hunger and Second Harvest works to provide these families and individuals with life-saving support. Representatives from our cast will visit Second Harvest on Tuesday, October 7, from 1-4 PM to volunteer packing food supply boxes!
