About the The Narrators

Narrators is a non-auditioned acting program for older adults (55+) designed to foster cognitive health and positive aging through participation in theatre arts. Each class session is two hours long and begins with vocal warm-ups and senior-friendly theatre games intended to boost confidence, camaraderie, and creative expression. The majority of the class time focuses on rehearsing a purposefully chosen script for public performance. Accessibility and inclusivity lie at the heart of the CFCArts mission. Narrators tailors the performance content to support each individual’s unique capabilities centering on their personal, social, and artistic growth. Please email narrators@cfcarts.com, and our team will be reaching out to you to help answer any of your questions and help get you started with us!

Performance

On the Fly is an exhilarating show that blends the excitement of improvisation with heartfelt storytelling. In this latest enterprise, the Narrators will engage in a series of improv games designed to showcase their creativity, wit, and collaborative energy. Alongside the improvisational fun, the show also highlights powerful monologues from the cast, each one focused on a personal experience or a pivotal moment in life – from the thrill of trying something new to the vulnerability of stepping into the unknown. These monologues (many of them written by the Narrators themselves) weave together humor, emotion, and reflection, showcasing the beauty and chaos of new experiences. On the Fly is a high-flying celebration of spontaneity, growth, and the unpredictability of life.
