Christian Anderson

Director

Read Bio

Christian is a teaching artist, director, and actor local to Central Florida. He is a third year student in the MFA Theatre for Young Audiences program at the University of Central Florida. Aside from working with CFCArts, Christian works at Orlando Family Stage as a teaching artist and director, and has worked with Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World as a performer. Christian has been with CFCArts for many years working in the Youth Theatre program as a Director and Teaching Artist for shows such as Disney’s Aladdin Jr., Elf, Willy Wonka Jr., and Charlotte’s Web. He has a passion for working with youth and utilizing theatre as a tool to teach self-confidence and empathy. Christian is so excited to be back for another season as a director for CFCArts!

Sara Jacobson

Sara is a Freshman at Valencia College. This is her fifth season at CFCArts. Although she is mainly a Stage Manager, you can also find her in many other roles. She has been a Lighting Designer, Sound Technician, Director, Technical Director, Props Master and occasionally an Actor. She has worked within the central Florida theater scene for 3 years. With companies such as, Central Florida Community Arts, Playwrights Round Table, Florida International Thespian society, and Whiskey Theatre Factory. She is working toward a BFA (Bachelors in Fine Arts) in Stage Management. She is excited to be part of  CFCArts for this season!

Christina Trulio

Christina has taught general music, chorus, voice, and guitar both privately and in the classroom for over 30 years. She has taught music in the public schools in California and Illinois, has directed numerous musicals for both children and adults, and has worked with young adults in musical theater, voice, and composition. An ASCAP writer, she has performed and had her songs recorded by numerous artists. She has a B.A. in voice and composition from Berklee College of Music in Boston and a Masters degree in Music Education from UCLA. Christina is excited to join the CFCArts team!

Walter May-Allen

Walter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts and a Master’s Degree in Eduction from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He taught middle and high school English, theatre, and television arts for seven years before taking on the role of costume loft manager at San Diego Junior Theatre, the oldest children’s theatre in the country. In addition to costuming at SDJT, he directed and choreographed multiple productions include The Wizard of Oz and Babes in Toyland. After leaving San Diego, Walter servers as the Executive and Artistic Director of his childhood theatre, Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts, in northeast Louisiana. There, he directed and/or choreographed multiple productions each year including Shrek, Seussical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Legally Blonde. Upon the birth of his daughter in 2019, he transitioned to a new career as a software developer to spend more time with her, but now that she is exploring the world of the stage, he is excited to return to the theatre and is especially excited to have found a home for him and his family in CFCArts.

Olivia is originally from Moore, Oklahoma and has been participating in theatre and choir since she was five years old. She received her BA in Theatre in 2016 focusing on Stage Management and Directing. She is excited to return to the theatre world with CFCArts stage management team!

Christy is ecstatic to join the CFCArts Youth Program! She has a BS in Theatre Arts (Acting and Set Design). She has worked on many shows over the years, some of her favorites include High School Musical (Martha), The Pillowman (Set Designer) and The Little Mermaid (Ariel’s Understudy & Aquata.) She has been a member of the CFCArts choir since 2017. Her day job is hanging out with characters at Universal Studios Resort. She is thankful for all the support from the CFCArts team, her husband, parents and friends.

Christina is thrilled to be returning to the team at Central Florida Community Arts for another season. Last summer, Christina relocated to Central Florida from Southern New Hampshire, where she spent the last ten years performing in theatre, film, and commercials in the Boston area. While there, Christina also discovered her passion for teaching theatre; developing and delivering a one-week Shakespeare workshop for 8th grade ELA students, as well as an eleven-week theatre program for YMCA campers that ran under her direction for two summers. Additionally, since her graduation from the Hartt School with a BFA in Acting, Christina has completed two national touring seasons with National Theatre for Arts and Education, four national touring seasons with National Theatre for Children, performed internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and worked for two years as a core company member for Gamut Theatre Group in Harrisburg, PA. Since her move to Florida, Christina has worked as a teaching artist with CFCArts on their productions of Elf the Musical, Winnie the Pooh, Disney’s Aladdin Jr., Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Jr., and for a number of their theatre camps. Some of Christina’s favorite performance roles include Gilda Radner in Bunny, Bunny: A Sort of Romantic Comedy, Constance in King John, Montressor in Poe: Much of Madness, Nikki Neutron in The Energized Guyz and the Conservation Caper, over 30 characters in The Iliad, The Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 90 Minutes or Less, and Dr. Novak in the independent film Uncanny Harbor (for which she had her first red carpet premiere). Christina can’t wait to continue to discover, and help develop, all of the incredible talent in the CFCArts community!

Magen Geluso is currently a theatre studies major and sociology minor in her senior year at the University of Central Florida. At CFCArts, She has previously been an assistant teaching artist for Frozen Jr., Rock On!, Disney’s Aladdin Jr., Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr, and more, and an assistant stage manager for The 39 Steps and A Christmas Carol. When not at CFCArts or school, Magen works at Universal Orlando Resort as a performer and attractions attendant.

Alison Nadassy is so excited to be returning to CFCArts! Now teaching third grade at Renaissance Academy of Arts and Sciences, she is so thankful for all the previous opportunities she’s had in CFCArts’ youth theatre education programs. She’s a graduate of UCF with a Bachelor of the Arts in Theater. After graduation she was an intern in the CFCArts Youth Theatre program and later helped costume Matilda (2019), A Christmas Carol (2020), The Sound of Music (2021), and several others. Alison would like to thank Leah and the Education program for their continuous support and inclusion in their productions!

Renée is looking forward to another season as a Teaching Artist with CFCArts! Through the years, Renée has taught general music K-5 and middle school chorus, drama, musical theatre, band, and photography. Renée received a Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Studies, concentrating in Music Education, Interpersonal Communication, and Visual Arts from University of Central Florida. Further, she received a Graduate Arts Management Certificate and Masters of Nonprofit Management. She loves her “Black and Gold!” She enjoys teaching, singing, painting, playing clarinet and saxophone, and supporting her kids in their own endeavors.

Eva Wagner is a theatre teacher and practitioner from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She graduated with her MFA in both Music and Theatre from the University of Mount Union. While in college, she was part of numerous choral ensembles, and theatrical productions. Her favorites were Songs for a New World (Ensemble & Ast. Music Director), Hamlet (Hamlet), and Quilters (June & Ensemble). Since graduating, Eva has been acting, teaching, and directing shows across the country with companies such as Missoula Children’s Theatre, Hidden Valley Camp, the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, and Weathervane Playhouse. She loves finding shows that bring joy and excitement to both the actors and the audience. Eva came to Florida to be a Disney Cast Member, and she can’t wait to get back into teaching theatre with CFCArts!
