About the Theatre
The Central Florida Community Arts orchestra was established in the Fall of 2011. Our performances are designed to entertain our audience several times a year, while challenging our performers on a weekly basis. We play a repertoire that ranges from Lennon and McCartney, to Rossini and Copland, to The Planets and The Lord of the Rings. Members of our orchestra have accompanied the CFCArts choir for their major concerts and Summer Broadway performances, playing for over 2,500 patrons at a time. Our members have also formed several small ensembles including a string quartet, a flute choir, a brass quintet and a brass ensemble, providing new performance opportunities and allowing our orchestra to increase our community outreach efforts.
From amateurs to professionals, our 155-piece orchestra is about music and the love of playing in a community setting. It’s non-auditioned so if you are age 18 or over and would like to play with us, fill out a membership interest form, pay the annual due and see why we think we have one of the best community orchestras out there! If you play regularly or are simply looking for a place to re-start after years away from playing, we welcome you to join us!
