CFCArts and the Florida Theatrical Association present
A Screening of the Landmark Documentary
Filmed in Orlando by local filmmakers, the story explores the first integrated little league game played in the South in 1955. The documentary tells the history of the teams, the outcome of the game, and the reunion of the teams decades later.
About Ragtime Community Programming
CFCArts is pleased to welcome the Florida Theatrical Association as the presenting sponsor for the pre-show programs. FTA’s commitment to educational programs as a crucial component of expanding and supporting new audiences makes for a perfect partnership for the 2022 production of Ragtime.
One of the many questions Ragtime asks audiences to consider is, “What does it mean to achieve the American Dream?” Through the pre-show programs, CFCArts and FTA invite patrons to explore that idea within the context of the themes of antisemitism, racism, immigration, and forced immigration presented in Ragtime.
Effective Sunday, March 13: Masks will be optional for all members and patrons at CFCArts rehearsals and events. In the case where a partner venue has a more stringent policy regarding masks, CFCArts will defer to the policy of the partner venue and will clearly communicate this to impacted members and patrons. We will continue to monitor local transmission levels and seek the input and advice of local, state, and national agencies and will adjust the policy, potentially reinstating a mask requirement, if it becomes apparent that it is necessary for the safety of our members and patrons.
