ORLANDO, FL. (February 16, 2023) – Central Florida Community Arts announces auditions for Disney’s Beauty & The Beast: In Concert, a collaborative performance that will bring together members from across the organization to tell the classic story. The cast and audience will have lots to love about this concert version of the “tale as old as time.” The show will feature the innovative inclusion of CFCArts members to represent each of the organization’s program areas.

“This production highlights our values of inclusivity and accessibility on so many levels,” said Vice President of Creative & Production Justin Muchoney. “We are so excited to share all that makes CFCArts unique and wonderful. Bringing together our members – from our Community Choir, Symphony Orchestra, and Big Band alongside our Youth Theatre, Youth Orchestra, and UpBeat! Theatre Troupe – will enable us to tell this story with joy and collaboration. We can’t wait for patrons and members alike to create and experience it together!”

CASTING NOTE

CFCArts is building an enthusiastic, inclusive, and diverse cast of non-equity actors for this production. As we strive to make sure this cast represents our whole community, CFCArts encourages everyone to submit for any and all roles that are of interest to them, regardless of how they have previously or traditionally been seen or cast.

This audition cycle includes 11 principal roles – Belle, Beast, Gaston, Maurice, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Chip, Babette, Madame de la Grande Bouche, and Lefou – but there will be more opportunities for dancers, youth performers, and ensemble actors announced at a later date.
