CFCArts Narrators

Fall 2021 | CFCArts Offices

A group of older adults (55+) who have a desire and a mission to give back to the community by performing and to have a lot of fun doing it.  Acting experience is certainly not required, but each participant should have the confidence to speak in front of a group.  Each class session is 90 minutes long and features vocal warm-ups, and senior-friendly theatre games designed to get participants laughing and imaginations active.  The group spends the bulk of the class working on scripts which can be presented without memorization and with as much or as little movement as the participants are comfortable with.  With respect to health and safety, this semester’s class will be held online, with the performances largely voice-over projects set to student-designed slideshows.

These video performances will be sent out to local nursing homes and to other CFCArts Partners to help increase access to arts for Central Florida populations that may not currently have access.
